Personalised Ceremony Info

As per the government website, this is where I come to the venue of your choice to officiate your Wedding which could be 6 months, 12 months or even 18 months away. There is a lot of work to be done leading up to giving you a Ceremony you are both satisfied with.

I am happy to do a face-to-face, Zoom or phone meeting to go over any other questions however, the celebrant services vary for each couple’s detailed requirements which could include any of the following:

  • Guide you in getting your marriage licence – it is initially processed online now (that is $150 to Internal Affairs and full printed certificate is $33)

  • Initial consultations can be in person, over the phone, on Zoom

  • Rehearsal prior to the big day

  • Help you write up the ceremony, run sheet and guide you with vows that you feel suit you both

  • Talk through any readings, personal vows (outside the more formal Marriage Act 1955 customised vows)

  • Liaising with your wedding planner, photographer, DJ (if any are booked for your big day)

  • Includes all of my travel costs

  • Experience of over 320 weddings in since 2016

  • Celebrant services on the day

  • Works out around 6-8 hours work for me (writing ceremony, travel)

My fees vary from $500 inc GST to $850 inc GST (varies with travel and extent of work done, rehearsal or no rehearsal, PA system hireage or if your wedding is on a Public Holiday).

What happens next if you choose me?

  1. Fill out my questionnaire (after our consultation or when you’ve chosen me to be your celebrant) to give me an idea of the type of wedding, emailed back asap (an interactive pdf I send once couple happy to go ahead)

  2. I then email an invoice to process a deposit, confirming you are booked on that date (which means I cannot take any others around that time/day) so you’re locked in

  3. I just take a 20-30% deposit to secure the date (once you’re happy to go ahead) in case another wedding or funeral enquiry arises, same date and time - balance is payable 7 days prior or pay as you go

  4. Please send me a “selfie” of you both as I need to know what you look like (it may be weeks or months before I get to actually see you in person)

  5. IMPORTANT: You must provide photo ID prior to the wedding ceremony for legal verification purposes, which is matched to your Marriage Licence you will email to me prior to the wedding. This can be viewed at the rehearsal or on the day.

  6. I start writing the ceremony back and forth emails right up to your rehearsal date

  7. Booked rehearsal time made (really casual, doesn’t need the entire bridal party)

  8. Do our rehearsal, tweak any final bits n pieces – can even be done on a beach, at a park, your backyard

  9. Tick off any other fine detail (Spotify playlists, licence signing table and chair)

  10. See you on the big day!

I also offer extra services and equipment hire:

  • Bridal cars, small private coaches (11-18 seater Mercedes Sprinters, 4-7 seater Mercedes V-Class) for your guests – to and from venue so they can enjoy themselves

  • Wooden outdoor table and chair for licence signing

  • Experienced and versatile wedding band – my partner is the drummer (over 20 years experience with gigs and weddings)

  • Guest transfers on the day

  • DJ and photographers like Paolo from Bai and Balz Photography and

  • I also MC receptions after the wedding if you want to give your family and friends to chill back and celebrate with you and I’ll do the work.
